SHUBER STUDIO / DESIGN RESEARCH

Give existing places new life

Before adding more, we ask what can be preserved, transformed, and reused.

We investigate existing structures as resources: their material value, embodied energy, character, proportions, and relationship to the site. Instead of treating an existing building as a limitation, we use its constraints to generate new architectural possibilities.

Design outcome. Adaptive reuse reduces waste, protects cultural continuity, and creates spaces that carry a visible relationship between what was there and what comes next.
